This fall we had the Niles Cub Scouts came to the ranch to visit and earn community and woodsmen badges. Adults and kids had fun picking up fallen branches from our many trees and then stacking everything on our brush pile by our woods. Beth and I rewarded everyone with hot dogs, chips and refreshments. For an additional treat the kids received tractor and wagon rides followed by time with the goats and alpacas. Tamara (a female alpaca) rewarded everyone who wanted one with a kiss on the cheek.
Beth and I received the our reward as parents shared the new experiences that they had with their children, and the kids asking us when they could come back again. We hope to make this at least an annual event at the ranch!
